Privacy Policy
This policy describes which personal data are processed when visiting techparts-wp.com, for what purpose and on what legal basis. The website presents the WordPress plugin Techparts and shows it in a demo shop.

2. Scope and legal bases
The website is aimed at visitors worldwide. The controller is based in Uruguay; the Uruguayan data protection law (Ley N° 18.331) applies. For visitors from the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies as well, because the offer is also directed at them. The European Commission has recognised Uruguay as providing an adequate level of data protection (Decision 2012/484/EU).
Data are only processed on one of the following bases: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), the performance of a contract or a request for one (b), a legal obligation (c), or a legitimate interest, such as the secure and error-free operation of the website (f).
3. Hosting
The website is hosted by dogado GmbH, Antonio-Segni-Straße 11, 44263 Dortmund, Germany. According to the provider, the servers are located in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place; dogado processes the data only on instruction.
4. Server log files
With every request, the server automatically stores information transmitted by the browser:
- IP address
- date and time of the request
- requested address and amount of data transferred
- previously visited page (referrer)
- browser and operating system
This serves the operation and security of the website, for example to detect attacks (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are deleted automatically after the retention period set by the host and are not combined with other data.
5. Cookies
The website only sets cookies that are needed for it to work. There are no cookies for statistics, advertising or profiling.

These cookies are technically necessary (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They can be deleted in the browser at any time.
6. Cookie notice
The cookie notice comes from the WordPress plugin CookieYes and runs on the website’s own server; no data are transferred to the plugin’s provider. Only the choice made is stored (cookie “cookieyes-consent”).
7. Contact form, email and phone
When a request is sent through the contact form, the chosen topic, name, email address, optionally company and website, and the message are processed. The request is stored in the WordPress database and sent by email to wp@techparts.de; the mailbox is also hosted by dogado. The same applies to requests sent directly by email or phone.
The data are used only to handle the request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise (f)). They are deleted once the request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply. An invisible field protects the form against spam; no data are transferred to third parties for this.
8. Demo shop
The shop on this website is a demonstration. Orders are not fulfilled, nothing is charged and nothing is delivered. Please do not enter real payment or address details. The contents of the cart are only stored for the duration of the session. Anyone who creates a customer account anyway can have it deleted at any time.
9. Fonts
All fonts are loaded from the website’s own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or other font services.
10. Videos
Individual spots on the drawings may carry a video from YouTube or Vimeo. It is only loaded when clicked; no connection is made before that. After the click, the browser transmits data such as the IP address to the respective provider (Google Ireland Limited or Vimeo.com, Inc.), including to the USA. YouTube is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The legal basis is consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
11. Login protection
A WordPress plugin that limits login attempts (Limit Login Attempts) stores the IP address of failed logins to fend off attacks on customer accounts and the admin (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The entries are used for this purpose only.
12. Encryption
The website is transmitted exclusively in encrypted form (HTTPS/TLS).
13. No disclosure, no profiling
Personal data are not sold and are only passed on to the service providers named here. There is no automated decision-making and no profiling. The Techparts plugin itself does not connect to any external server.
14. Rights of data subjects
Every data subject has the right to:
- access to the stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
- withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3))
An informal message to wp@techparts.de is sufficient. There is also the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in the EU for example with the authority of the place of residence, in Uruguay with the Unidad Reguladora y de Control de Datos Personales (URCDP).
15. Changes
This policy is updated when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
